Like many of you, my Sunday was not peaceful or restful. Many would love to spend time with loved ones and dear one however, my Sunday spent in search of yellow Gold.
This is actually the hard earned Gold for many poor farmers who spent hours in fields soaked in sweat and months waiting for the rain and then looking for a good farm produce to harvest. This is the first time I knew the worth of it. This is actually a real gold which may fulfill need of many citizens of India.
As I mentioned in my [Wednesday Walk](
post, The harvest season is at full swing and in my village look at any corner and you will find heave if dry paddy splattered everywhere or men working in getting the grain sepration. I too was quite busy getting everything done, and in the process spent my entire day along the fields.
After putting all the laburous work in field during sowing and then looking after with proper the time has comes for each farmer around the village to reap the rewards. Which is in form of farm produces in their fields. This year with God grace we have sufficient rain in our area to get a good yeild.
All the yeild were brought from the fields and stacked for grain separation. Which is basically a manual work that require lot of effort. For grain sepration they need to slap the paddy, on a make shift base so that the grain get separated easily.
They take a bunch of paddy and start slapping them. One by one they keep on doing it whole day till all the grain get separated.
They keep the Hays separately which were further use for cow feeding. A great example of maximum utilisation of resources.
Once all Tye grain get separated they were alligned and spread in a long queue to swipe away all the dust with hand.
All the earth gets yellow with so many gold spread all over the place. This is how I spent my while Sunday looking after the gold and making a valuable worth for many citizen.
