The main thing that keeps my clients from taking action is the fear of discomfort. Even though they are coming to me for help and guidance, change requires some kind of discomfort, real or perceived. The fact that all great things lie just outside this comfort zone be damned... the discomfort they currently feel is at least a known discomfort and. Right?
Often what is needed is to help them see a vivid picture of what it would be like if they stay as they are. Likewise, I need to help them visualize an optimistic vision of the future they could possibly achieve if they simply ventured a little discomfort now and then to make a change, or to experience something new or whatever it may be.
Big change begins with small shifts. Think about that, if you will.
Thanks for listening. :)
