Zara wakes me up in the mornings
Today was the first of a 5 day holiday in Cyprus starting with the Greek Good Friday and ending with a bank holiday on Tuesday.
Easter is the principal festival of Greece and the Orthodox Church.
In the bible, it is the day when Mary Magdalene found that an empty tomb in the cave in which Jesus had been placed following his death by crucifixion on the Friday before.
It signifies the end of the 40 days of Lent, meaning Christians who gave up something during lent to signify Jesus' time in the wilderness, can indulge themselves again.
The weather was magnificent today and the forecast for tomorrow and Sunday is also good. Monday and Tuesday are going to be windy and a possible dust storm.
Lesley - my daughter in law sent me a photograph of Jack chilling on their patio. This immediately got me into the mood for sitting in the sun. So I poured myself a Bailey's and donned in my swim suit went to sit in the sun with Zara, my daughter's kitten.

Sad to say but I could only take the sun for about 15 minutes - it was really hot.
