Joy is the serious business of heaven. - C.S. Lewis
One of the things I like doing most in winter is meeting some friends, walking over the Sunday's flea market with them, buying some rummage and enjoying a delicious hot 'Barraquito' in one of the local hippie bars.
If joy was the business of heaven, then pleasure would be the business of planet Earth.
Here's how a typical wintery Sunday looks like on my island.
and friends enjoying some typical Canarian coffee called 'Barraquito'

Even on islands that are known for their endless summer, the wintery Sunday relax mode does exist.
The blue sky is quite trappy these days. 20 degrees Celsius appear much colder when the air is humid and winds are blowing strongly from the North.
You better get your winter jackes and scarfs prepared for that season.
Some cold gusts of wind blow through the small alleys of the old capital. The black and white arquitecture of the buildings forms a nice contrast to the dark blue sky and the colourful market stands.
Sunday's flea market: A labyrinth where everyone wants to get lost
House facades are turned into shop-windows
Courtyards are converted into beautiful shops
Typical Canarian arquitecture
For those who are too lazy to walk...
If you ever got lost in this labyrinth, the town's landmark (church) would guide you back to the centre
Shirt with a message:
1 glass of rum
1gr of coke
f******* crazy life
That's the way we like to sunday! And you?
