Captured this on my phone whilst driving in NW London.
I couldn't comprehend what I was seeing but upon research I have come across many posts via YouTube that this anomaly is called a Sun dog.
You can see a rainbow effect that clearly is caused by the suns reflecting off the clouds. Makes me think the Sun is much closer than we have been told.
I edited the picture heavily to bring up the clouds and the colour details on the clouds
