Air Travel is a treat during good times and a blessing during Covid
It’s always a joy to travel to new places, meeting new people and learn about new cultures; language, food and history are special when learned from those who live it daily.
But air travel near the earths equator is a special treat, as we the clouds, the colors of a sunrise and the special light bending effects of the equators horizon provide a special and unique beauty.
As I fly through the clouds I am reminded of the unique visual treat I am experiencing. The brilliant red color of a sunrise gives way to yellow hues which are then replaced by bright white light. The passing of the reddish yellow of sunrise is soon followed by the bright blue of the morning sky. The pillowy white cloud formations offer up yet another contrast of color and physical nature. I remind myself these exciting physical structures are just gas and water. Even though they look like hills and valleys, they air truly air and water vapor rising up to meet the sun.
I am once again reminded of the beauty that surrounds us everyday. We can get so caught up in the grind of work and bills, that we forget to enjoy life. One way of putting this feeling into words is to say: “We are sometimes so busy making a living, that we forget to live.”
Today I chose to enjoy life.
