The Mueller Town Center District is still under a lot of development. There's a brand new Alamo Drafthouse and Irish pub, but until they build something else there is a large field in the middle that has been overrun by sunflowers.

Yesterday I went out and braved the 100+ degrees farenheit to snap some shots of these magnificent flowers.

Some of them are even taller than the tower at Dell Children's Medical Center (at the right angle of course).

This is definitely the most sunflowers I have ever seen in one place (except I guess when I watched Everything is Illuminated). They aren't that tightly packed, but they cover a very large area.

I love these last few shots as the sun was getting closer to setting, giving me that wonderful orange light.
