It's been a while since I was at the beach or admired a sunset with some tranquility; today I got to do them both. It was unplanned, but since the errands I were doing with a friend ended earlier, she suggested hopping to the nearest beach... and I'm glad we did: we arrived just at the perfect timing!
This one was taken as soon I got out of the car. The photos won't do justice to the colours of the landcape, and I only had the smartphone with me, but this was by far one of the coolest sunsets I've seen in a long time.
Evern the clouds helped: the only clouds in the sky were the ones just in front of the great ball of fire, creating a perfect composition.
I went as close to the seashore as I could, to try and capture the colours reflected in the water. I didn't got the reflections I was after, but even so the photo captured the serenity mood of the golden hour... even if I wasn't the only one taking photos.
By the way, this beach is called Fonte da Telha, and it's just a few km south of Lisboa. The beach streches for miles, and at this time there was still quite a lot of people admiring the show, considering it's winter time.
The day today was warmer than usual for this week; but even if it was colder... enjoying this show was definitely worth it!
