Heya Steemers,
As long term readers will remember from my post Steemit | Busy Dean Wilson announced that he was leaving the Rockstar Husqvarna team a few days ago. This is a huge blow for the rider who is just coming back form injury but always one to look on the bright side of things he has wasted no time in getting the OK from the doctors to get back to riding and prepare for the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season.
Luckily for Wilson, although Husqvarna have dropped him from the team roster, it seems they are still offering some kind of support for him while he prepares as they have supplied him with a Factory Edition bike to use in the off season. I'm not sure that support will continue into the Supercross season itself but that is great news for the Brit and very welcome as he faces another start as a privateer again.
He also mentions that he has undergone a further operation which should help relieve arm pump. This is a surgery i have not heard about before so i did a little digging and came up with the answers and it's pretty interesting.
"Arm pump surgery is designed to release pressure on the affected muscle compartments in the forearm. This can be achieved by dividing (cutting) the fascia that encases the muscles in the forearm. The fascia is a thick, fibrous tissue that wraps around every muscle compartment in the body. Once this tissue is opened up, the nerves, arteries, and muscles have more freedom of movement, which in turn minimizes pain, swelling, and other symptoms of CECS."
So i think that takes it to 90% of his body now that has been repaired at some point haha but it does not seem to have taken away his drive to succeed and that is a great thing! We need more Deanos in this world and i for one will be cheering him on at Anaheim one next year :)
