Hi Steemers,
So the paddock has been very noisy over the past week wondering what the hell happened to the current back to back Lucas Oil Pro Motocross champion Eli Tomac last weekend in Arlington. As you can imagine the Monster Energy Kawasaki team paddock has been very quiet about their star riders performance but a statement has been released by the man himself addressing the nights racing.
Eli Tomac
Monster Energy Kawasaki
"Tonight is a tough pill to swallow. I know the team and I expect better results but I am grateful to be leaving Dallas healthy and without injury, especially after my tip over in the main. This is part of racing, some things are out of my control and other things are completely manageable as well as fixable. We'll get back to work this week and work on those things as we head into the halfway point of the season. I still have a lot left in me and I plan on proving that, starting next week in Detroit."
This does not answer many questions that's for sure but it does lean towards the bike being good and it was all rider. That being said i have noticed a few races in the last year where the Kawasaki has let the rider down... It could be the team have asked Tomac to come forward as the problem to take the bad press away from the bike... hmm food for thought.
Will Tomac find his groove this weekend in Detroit for round eight of the Monster Energy Supercross series? He has some serious momentum from Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen to deal with and Muquin is also finding his form after a pre season knee injury... Time to step up and be counted!
