Encouragement

When approached with this challenge, I was really unsure what to write. But it occurred to me. Write about something I love. I love cannabis, which is no secret. But I also love Steem, which is why I created Hive account@canna-curate. This was to help out the cannabis tag, which I felt was very undervalued. But not only for the $ value of a post, but to also help great content. Now don't get me wrong, I love all my Canna Steemians, and if your content is not a spectacular post, I am not going to ignore you. Yes I appreciate a well done post, and especially when you can tell a person put a lot of effort into it. You see when I first started on Steem, I did not take it seriously. When I did start to see Steem's potential, I would still only post a picture, and sometimes a vague description. I thought my work would shine through, and let the picture speak for itself. Well that is not how it works here on Steem. To really succeed, and gain a following, you got to put the work into the post, at least to get the attention of the people who do not know nothing about growing cannabis. They see a post with a pic and a brief description, they move on. People want to see something fun and entertaining, after all they can just go to Instagram to see a pic. Point is, I want to be encouraging for the cannabis community, and to the whole community to put effort into their work.

The Canna-Curate Tag

Canna-Curate currently sits at 16,716.05 SP and is giving 342 up votes, on 105 accounts every 7 days. But what I am most proud of, is the content coming out under our tag. It is very clean, spam free, and great content. I remember the day's from the start when only a few of us where using the tag. Little did we know it would become almost as big as the cannabis tag itself. Thank you to all who have added tremendous value to the community.

Spamming the tag

A couple weeks ago that all changed. Someone was using the Dapp, Dlike to spam up the Canna-Curate tag with Smoke posts from well known users, which most are my friends.

At first I was a little irritated. Then the posts started flowing in, all using the Canna-Curate tag. By this time I turned from irritated to irate! I started to flag, but the posts kept coming. With my low SP, and while the VP% was getting drained, im sure the abusers was just laughing at my efforts. Thankfully Hive account@guiltyparties who is a member of Hive account@steemcleaners took care of the problem with the massive Steem Power of Hive account@spaminator. Much love to everyone involved with these projects, and taking care of the issue in a timely matter. To the piece of shit stealing peoples content, and spamming the Canna tag, go fuck your self.

Weedcash

Same goes for the Weedcash Network. I will monitor the network, and keep the spam out. It's nothing personal, it's just the way it is. For example, this post here was a person posting multiple times to weedcash under multiple accounts, with BTC referral links, and some other bull shit. Turns out this guy has done this before, with hundreds of accounts! Which something that happens on Steem a lot. Again Hive account@steemcleaners was there to clean shit up.

Not everything is for free

The Weedcash Network and all the Scot Bot Front Ends cost money to run. So if you spam the tag, it will get flagged. Do not take it personal. Just have some common sense. Now as far as spamming the Canna tag, I will take that shit personal. Imagine if we all just let everyone run amok here. This place would be complete shit. Heck in a way Steem has turned to shit, which is why everyone is so stoked about the Steem Engine tribes like Palnet, Steemleo, Creativecoin, and Weedcash. There are a lot of great teams on each site keeping the shit out, and I am all for it. Just remember to think twice about the tag you choose, cause it just may be your last ;)
