In the capital of Sweden, Stockholm, from next month will be set up regular lines in which two minibuses will be circulated without drivers.
Sweden's cabinet announcement says that after New Year's Eve in Stockholm will run minibus without drivers, which will be the first such event in Scandinavia.
At the first stage, two minibuses are planned to circulate between the Hanstavegen and Arne Torg roads in the Kista quarter, north of the Swedish capital.The regular line at which minibuses will run without drivers is 1.5 kilometers long.The announcement states that minibuses, which can accept a total of 12 passengers, will depart at speeds of 20 kilometers per hour.
It is announced that soon in some parts of Stockholm will be set up for seven minibuses without drivers.
Otherwise, minibuses in the first phase will provide free services, reports Anadolu Agency.
Electric buses, equipped with cameras and sensors, will start on the road that is foreseen for these vehicles.
