Today in an article titled The (re-)Birth of the World Computer Huffington Post features Synereo and its Rchain blockchain technology. It dubs it as a Blockchain 2.0 which could solve most if not all drawbacks which current Blockchain holds.
Saheed Oladele writes in the artiicle:
A small Israeli startup, called Synereo, recently announced the alpha launch of its decentralized Social Network, and raised a great deal of curiosity among the tech savvy and the slightly nerdy.
And:
Recently Synereo disclosed the underlying technology, enabling its Social Network to function, and it soon became clear that something very interesting is going on. Labeled RChain, or simply Blockchain 2.0, the company announced a Technology Stack, seemingly solving Blockchain’s biggest drawbacks.
Drawbacks in mention which burden current Blockchain are:
- too wasteful,
- slow,
- not scalable to global proportions.
Synereo's Rchain aims to solve all these drawbacks by being designed as a concurrent and sharded Blockchain.
This way Blockchain 2.0 powered applications and communities could become a truly decentralized world computer.
By the way, Synereo crowdsdale is starting in 20 hours from now.
