Remember that amidst the sabre rattling and accusations bandied about by politicians, the real victims of conflict in Syria are millions of innocent Syrians caught between a rock and a hard place. None of the warring factions or foreign interests have the authority to govern the people there, but they will ensure that their squabbling destroys as many lives as possible before someone emerges as the "victor."
If you care about humanity, withdraw your support for any belligerent party. Don't make excuses for military adventurism, don't apologize for any political leader's atrocities, and don't pretend there are "good guys," regardless of whose flag they fly. War is the health of the State. The State is the enemy. It is the deadliest religion, regardless of denomination.
The bloodshed, massacres and chaos across the Middle East are the result of governments, not anarchy. To call the consequences of government action "anarchy" is the height of hypocrisy. What these people need is freedom from government, not some specific government ruling them. What we see happening today is government at its fullest.
