Resistances are the core part of the Resistance Toolbox, and defining them sooner rather than later is important to get everything rolling.
Skills Commentary
It's important to note the distinction between skills and domains; in Hwaet we make domains generally equivalent to attributes in other games, but typically in the Resistance Toolbox (for instance, Spire), the domain represents a place or background.
As a result, we have a little more overlap because many of our domains are more about character aptitude. However, Hwaet uses the standard traditional fantasy skills taken straight from the Resistance Toolbox. Efficiency, yay!
Resistances Commentary
In the Resistance Toolbox, Resistances are basically HP pools, but also not. Basically, you define what characters are weak to with resistances, and the result is that when characters build up stress in their Resistances they eventually wind up with Fallout from them.
I still have to do Fallout and Advances, which I'm going to try and float some examples of tomorrow.
Each resistance can be healed using a refresh, which come at logical points during play, or at specific places in the narrative (see the three-act structure). Each role will be getting a special refresh criteria before the final release of the game that impacts their wyrd exclusively. I just haven't finished designing those yet.
Originally in Spire, I believe the role-based refreshes applied to every resistance, but I want to focus on wyrd as a distinct element, in part because doing so lets us draw out the strengths of our characters and makes it function as a tool to draw on those special powers gained through Advances.
Skills
All characters in Hwaet can choose skills from the following list. If appropriate, you may choose to add other skills as relevant to the setting you use with your characters.

Note that in the finished version I am likely going to combine Melee and Ranged into a single Combat skill; all details are subject to change.
Suggested Added Skills
Magic: Interact with magical and supernatural beings or powers.
Tech: Use, repair, and bypass advanced devices.
Resistances
Characters have five regular resistances, plus one which functions differently.
Blood is a measure of physical resilience.
Ego is a measure of mental wellbeing and willpower.
Gold is a measure of wealth.
Face is a measure of social standing.
Humanity is a measure of the spiritual health of a character.
Wyrd is a measure of how close a hero is to fulfilling their destiny.
Each resistance is tied to its own Fallouts, which may occur as characters suffer stress.
