My recipe has few ingredients but two of them have many properties that are beneficial for our body; It is the milky also known by the name of papaya, and milk. I chose the milky one because it is the fruit that we consume the most in the house, and because the combination with milk has a wonderful result. Next I am going to mention the properties of these ingredients.
Algunas propiedades de la lechosa:
1.Por ser una fruta carnosa, posee bastante agua lo que la convierte en un buen diurético.
2.Tiene grandes cantidades de vitamina C por lo que aumenta las defensas del organismo.
3.Favorece la formación de colágeno.
4.Al poseer un gran porcentaje de vitamina A, ayuda a mejorar la salud de la piel, las mucosas y el sistema inmunitario.
5.Posee flavonoides por lo que previene enfermedades cardiovasculares y protege de la oxidación del colesterol.
6.Contiene minerales como el calcio, el magnesio, el potasio y el fósforo, que ayudan a restaurar el equilibrio ácido-base del organismo.
7.Por ser una fruta fibrosa, mejora el estreñimiento, también ayuda a controlar la glucosa y el colesterol sanguíneo logrando que estos componentes se absorban de forma más lenta hacia la sangre.
8.Al poseer una enzima llamada papaína, ayuda a la digestión de las proteínas.
Some properties of milky:
- Being a fleshy fruit, it has a lot of water, which makes it a good diuretic.
- It has large amounts of vitamin C, which increases the body's defenses.
- Promotes the formation of collagen.
- By having a large percentage of vitamin A, it helps improve the health of the skin, mucous membranes and the immune system.
- It has flavonoids so it prevents cardiovascular diseases and protects against cholesterol oxidation.
- Contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus, which help restore the body's acid-base balance.
- Being a fibrous fruit, it improves constipation, it also helps control blood glucose and cholesterol, making these components absorb more slowly into the blood.
- By having an enzyme called papain, it helps the digestion of proteins.

Benefits of milk
Among the benefits of drinking milk is the strengthening of bones and teeth, as well as the reduction of risks of suffering from osteoporosis or weak bones when reaching adulthood.
Milk provides the body with nutrients such as: proteins, calcium, vitamins A, B1, B2, B12 and D.
The needs and consumption of dairy products depend on the calcium requirements, so the portions will vary according to age. In ages between 2 and 9 years, and in adults, it is recommended to consume 3 to 4 servings a day; while during the ages between 10 and 18 years, pregnancy and lactation, up to 4 servings per day should be consumed. For adults, low-fat dairy is recommended as it contains less saturated fat.
The recipe that I am going to share with you is a delicious milkshake meringue, and it is a wonderful option for breakfast since it allows us to start the day full of energy. The amount of ingredients used is enough for a single portion, but if you want to increase it to two, just double the ingredients, or prepare them separately.
INGREDIENTES // INGREDIENTS
2 tazas de agua bien fría
½ cucharadita de vainilla
2 cucharadas de azúcar
2 cucharadas de leche en polvo
10 frozen papaya squares
2 cups of very cold water
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of milk

PROCEDIMIENTO // PROCESS
- Pelar la lechosa y retirarle las semillas.
- Picar en cuadritos y congelarlos.
- Peel the papaya and remove the seeds.
- Cut into squares and freeze them.
- Agregar los cuadritos de lechosa en la licuadora con el agua, la leche, la vainilla y el azúcar.
- Licuar hasta que la mezcla esté suave y cremosa.
- Add the milky cubes in the blender with the water, milk, vanilla and sugar.
- Blend until mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Servir en un vaso.
- Serve in a glass.
TIPS DE COCINA
- Se debe consumir de inmediato porque la bebida se corta al poco tiempo de haberse preparado.
- Agregar hielo picado si se desea.
Cooking tips:
- It should be consumed immediately because the drink is short after being prepared.
- Add crushed ice if desired.
