Vestir de amarillo, sobre todo en películas y series, sin duda, muy peligroso. Puedes perderte en mundos oscuros o cambiar de dimensión, tener alucinaciones monstruosas o viajar en el tiempo.
Es indudable que la moda tiene algún tipo de poder sobrenatural sobre las personas, como cuando una mujer usa vestido de novia, un vestido blanco que te autoriza, ante la sociedad de buenas costumbres, a procrear.
Pero esta vez quiero hablar no de los vestidos que definen a las mujeres, podemos hablar de eso más adelante, en otro post, sino del hecho de la recurrencia del impermeable amarillo (chubasquero) en el hecho de que sus usuarios, casi siempre, se pierden de la realidad. Vamos con ejemplos clásicos para entender mejor el concepto ligado a los hechos.
No me voy a extender en consideraciones de ciencia ficción, ni disertaré sobre hipótesis conspiranoicas, ni alucinaciones espectrales, solo me detendré en los hechos verificables que nos presenta cada producción que exhibe este leitmotiv.
Dark
Una de mis series favoritas, no solo por el casting tan bien reunido o la trama que me traía en vilo cada temporada y me hacía amanecer para devorar la temporada en una sola noche, fue la alemana Dark. Hacía el primer paneo y luego vendrían otras visualizaciones, en plan de tratar de entender de que venía,para completar los árboles genealógicos que fui creando para entender el origen de cada personaje.
En la serie nos presentan a Jonas, un chico tímido y traumado por el suicidio de su padre, quien desde la primera escena viene ataviado con un impermeable amarillo. Vamos siguiendo su transcurrir desde que la desaparición de un niño del pueblo que remite a una desaparición anterior, ocurrida 30 años antes, que vincula a cuatro familias que se relacionan en el tiempo con estos misterios. Las cuatro familias principales se ven reunidas en la búsqueda de la verdad de lo que ocurre en la ciudad ficticia de Winden. Nuestro adorado Jonas es pieza clave, no solo porque es uno de los que se esfuerza en descubrir y revertir el error que causa las anomalías temporales alrededor de la ciudad, sino que es uno de sus principales iniciadores, signado por su origen, hasta que descubre, en la cueva, siguiendo las pistas de su yo del futuro (ya sin impermeable o quizas está todo sucio y no vemos su color) descubre un pasaje por donde entra, pasa, se devuelve o viene al pasado, y es allí que comienza una vida más intensa y caótica, que le hace dudar de si mismo y sus recuerdos, donde se pierde buscando la mejor forma de revertir el error. Si sigo hablando me voy a enrredar y a enrredar a los que aún no la han visto.
Lo cierto es que Jonas parece marcado por la vestimenta, que lo lleva a perderse, no solo en el tiempo, también de él mismo, que tras mas de una decena de viajes en el tiempo pierde hasta la vitalidad de su apariencia y personalidad, para transformarse en Adam, un ser a todas luces, malévolo.
Los mundos de Coraline
En la maravillosa película de Coraline, nos encontramos con esta creativa niña atrapada en la rutina de la vida familiar, que lucha para llevar un proyecto familiar de jardinería y botánica a feliz término, proyecto que serviría de sustento a la familia, y como están comenzando gastan todo su tiempo en la elaboración y organización del proyecto, lo que le da mucho tiempo a Coraline para explorar y descubrir su propia casa y sus alrededores. Así, descubre una pequeña puerta por donde pasa a una versión mejorada (en apariencia) de su casa y de sus padres. Pues, esta niña, que también traspasa un portal, viste el impermeable amarillo, lo que la hece incapaz de huir de su destino.
No se puede dudar del paralelismo, entre el impermeable y los mundos alternos o la propensión a viajar dimensionalmente, además el concepto de tragedia se completa aquí con la inclusión del impermeable, que lo vuelve oráculo y protagonista. De haber conseguido el alma de Coraline, la otra madre, estaría actuando en favor de la resolución de la tragedia (en cuanto al concepto griego se refiere).

La tragedia es “...la imitación de una acción de carácter elevado y completa, dotada de cierta extensión en un lenguaje agradable, llena de bellezas de una especie particular según sus diversas partes, imitación que ha sido hecha o lo es, por personajes en acción, la cual, moviendo a compasión y temor, obra en el espectador la purificación propia de estos estados emotivos” (La Poética).
IT
Con “Eso” nos encontramos con "Pennywise, el payaso bailarín" cuando mantiene acosados a un grupo de niños, entre ellos Georgi (quien lleva el impermeable y el único que no vuelve de ese estado de embriaguez sobrenatural que lleva la peli). En estos nuevos mundos sin adultos que guíen a los niños, estos se ven envueltos en situaciones realmente espeluznantes, siendo perseguidos por un payaso diabólico que solo quiere tomar sus almas y para eso los lleva por un camino de las visiones aterradoras para, como un gato, jugar con la comida hasta causarle la muerte. Realmente no conocemos bien el mundo a donde Georgi es llevado por el payaso y lo entendemos como ajeno y diferente al que habitualmente habitamos.
Jumanji, Bienvenidos a la jungla
En esta divertida película del 2017, nos encontramos a Spencer, un chico tímido y aficionado a los videojuegos, que, en un día de detención por hacer trampa en la escuela, se encuentra, junto a otros compañeros castigados, una antigua consola y deciden pasar el castigo jugando, lo que no saben es que se trata de Jumanji transfigurado en video juego, para luego ser absorbidos por una especie de plasma que los transporta a este mundo de fantasía donde deben cumplir misiones para volver a casa.
Spencer, el personaje principal, está envuelto en un impermeable amarillo, lo que lo convierte, en motivo de nuestro interés, porque vemos como todo lo que hemos hablado hasta ahora sirve, incluso, para películas familiares, sin que sea perturbada su trama o sea menos temida.
El Anticristo
Y así llegamos al Anticristo, una película de Lars Von Trier, la película es la primera parte de la llamada Trilogía de la depresión, en la que también se incluyen Melancolía (2011), Ninfomanía: primera parte (2013) y Ninfomanía: segunda parte (2013).
El Anticristo arranca cuando una pareja pierde a su hijo, y la esposa comienza a sufrir de ansiedad, el esposo, quien es terapeuta, decide llevarla, junto a su terapia, a un lugar conocido como “Edén” una cabaña en medio del bosque, donde ambos enfrentarán sus demonios. En esta lucha, del bien contra el mal, la pareja busca en sus recuerdos, fobias y miedos la manera de superar la muerte del niño. Poco a poco se irán perdiendo.
Ella tiene un impermeable también, pero el mundo donde se pierde no queda afuera, sino dentro de si misma, a donde va a parar una vez comience la terapia, pasé toda la película preguntándome quién de los dos es el anticristo, llegué a la conclusión que era él. Si bien pasé la primera parte pensando que era ella, el final me demostró lo contrario, fue él, quien con su dominio sobre la mente humana la fue hundiendo hasta la mas infernal destrucción, obligándola a hacer frente a sus miedos mas aterradores hasta dejarla en un estado de total bestialidad.
Esperando que les haya agradado esta manera de reunir películas, que por si solas no irían juntas al baile, pero es una manera de ver lo que vemos, con otros ojos, buscar singularidades y coincidencias, para llegar al metamensaje de la historia del cine.

The Worlds of Coraline
In the wonderful film Coraline, we meet this creative girl trapped in the routine of family life, struggling to bring a family project of garden and botany to a successful conclusion, a project that would serve as a livelihood for the family, and as they are starting they spend all their time in the development and organization of the project, which gives Coraline plenty of time to explore and discover her house and surroundings. Thus, she discovers a small door through which she passes to an improved version (in appearance) of her house and her parents. For, this little girl, who also passes through a doorway, wears the yellow raincoat, which makes her unable to flee from her fate.

We do not really know well the world where Georgi is taken by the clown and we understand it as alien and different from the one we usually inhabit, but it is significant that he uses a raincoat to address him.
