Saludos queridas madres y padres de esta comunidad, el día de hoy les comparto mi experiencia de ayer decorando la puerta del aula de clases de mi pequeño Rafael.
Greetings dear mothers and fathers of this community, today I share my experience of yesterday decorating the door of my little Rafael's classroom.
El día anterior la maestra me pidió ayuda para ir a decorar la puerta del aula de clase, yo le dije que con mucho gusto iría y cumplí mi palabra el día de ayer, la crisis del país está fuerte y es realmente escaso el material que poseen los maestros de escuelas públicas para hacer actividades como esta, pero la maestra mi diligente ya tenía preparado algunas decoraciones que había preparado anteriormente, el primero era un dibujo impreso con muñecos de navidad y un mensaje que ella había coloreado con lápices de colores y el otro era una lamina decorada con una vela y flores que había usado el año pasado, a esta ultima solo había que hacerles algunas reparaciones.
The day before the teacher asked me for help to decorate the classroom door, I told her that I would gladly go and I kept my word yesterday, the crisis in the country is strong and the material they have is really scarce public school teachers to do activities like this one, but my diligent teacher already had prepared some decorations that she had previously prepared, the first was a printed drawing with Christmas dolls and a message that she had colored with colored pencils and the other It was a sheet decorated with a candle and flowers that I had used last year, the latter only had to do some repairs.
Legue temprano a la escuela pero antes de ponerme a trabajar debí esperar que los niños cumplieran con su rutina diaria de cantar el himno nacional y algunas canciones navideñas, una vez en el aula de clase la maestra me dio el material que disponía, me dio un poco de tristeza ver que aun cuando hay padres que quieren ayudar me imagino que no todo tienen dinero para hacerlo, pero le dije a la maestra que no se preocupara que con eso resolveríamos.
I got to school early but before going to work I had to wait for the children to comply with their daily routine of singing the national anthem and some Christmas songs, once in the classroom the teacher gave me the material she had, she gave me a Little sadness to see that even when there are parents who want to help, I imagine that not everyone has the money to do it, but I told the teacher not to worry that with that we would solve it.

Solo teníamos 4 láminas de papel bond para dos puertas, me puse a forrar la primera puerta con las laminas utilizando dos de manera vertical solo faltaba un borde del lado derecho y el borde final, así que corté la tercera lámina en tres partes para cubrir dichos espacios, solo teníamos pega en barra y cinta adhesiva de la transparente, esta ultima era muy difícil de usar porque lamentablemente la puesta esta oxidada en muchas partes y el adhesivo no se fijaba en las partes corroídas, pero eso frenó mi motivación y traté de hacer todo lo que pude para que se quedara el papel fijo en la puerta.
We only had 4 sheets of bond paper for two doors, I started to line the first door with the sheets using two vertically, only one edge was missing from the right side and the final edge, so I cut the third sheet into three parts to cover said spaces, we only had glue stick and transparent tape, the latter was very difficult to use because unfortunately the set is rusty in many parts and the adhesive did not fix on the corroded parts, but that stopped my motivation and I tried to do everything I could to keep the paper fixed on the door.
Luego pegué con la misma pega de barra el dibujo que había coloreado anteriormente la maestra, este tiene un bonito mensaje que dice “Feliz navidad y año nuevo a todos”, por eso le escribí “les desea 1° A” solo teníamos disponibles pintura naranja y azul así que hice las letras naranjas, como tenía un pincel plano de cerdas no muy lisas, mas tarde pedí prestado un marcador para delinear las letras posteriormente.
Then I pasted the drawing that the teacher had previously colored with the same glue, this has a nice message that says "Merry Christmas and New Year everyone", that's why I wrote "wishes you 1st A" we only had orange paint available and blue so I made the letters orange, as I had a flat brush with not very smooth bristles, later I borrowed a marker to delineate the letters later.
Mientras yo hacía esto la maestra cortó unos moldes de estrella sobre papel, yo coloqué estos sobre el papel bond y con un pincel seco y pintura azul pinté los bordes para que las estrellas quedaran con una estampa en negativo.
While I was doing this, the teacher cut some star molds on paper, I placed these on the bond paper and with a dry brush and blue paint I painted the edges so that the stars were with a negative stamp.
La maestra consiguió una gran tira de papel de regalo la cual yo corté de manera vertical para cubrir el borde superior, inferior y derecho. Con este último detalle la puerta se ve con mas color y quedó muy bonita.
The teacher got a large strip of wrapping paper which I cut vertically to cover the top, bottom, and right edges. With this last detail, the door looks more colorful and it was very beautiful.
Lo que hicimos con la puerta derecha fue pegar una tira de papel bond a la lamina decorada del año pasado, pegar las estrellas que estaban deterioradas y despegadas, nos ahorramos bastante tiempo haciéndolo de esta forma, la maestra luego que yo pegué el borde se trajo la pistola de silicón desenchufada pero aun caliente (no teníamos extensión eléctrica) para terminar de pegar las puntas a las estrellas que estaban despegadas.
What we did with the right door was to stick a strip of bond paper to last year's decorated sheet, stick the stars that were deteriorated and detached, we saved a lot of time doing it this way, the teacher brought it after I glued the edge the glue gun unplugged but still hot (we didn't have an electrical extension) to finish gluing the tips to the detached stars.
Llegué a las 8 y salí de la escuela a las 12, los niños dejaron la escuela a 11:30 por eso la maestra solo me podía estar conmigo cuando los niños ya se fueran, pero estoy feliz de haber ayudado a que solo ella solo estuviera media hora adicional de su horario en la escuela para hacer esto, yo valoro mucho el trabajo de los maestros y sé que su sueldo es insignificante en comparación al gran esfuerzo que hacen atender a todos los niños, sé que no todas los madres y representantes pueden hacerlo, pero la presencia en la escuela de la comunidad es muy importante, siento que entre todos se podría mejorar mucho el ambiente escolar.
