Guerra mundial Z es una película de acción (postapocalictica) protagonizada por el actor estadounidense Brad Pitt, este interpreta el papel de un ex-agente de las Naciones Unidas Gerry Lane.

World War Z is a post-apocalyptic action film starring American actor Brad Pitt, who plays the role of former UN field agent Gerry Lane.

Gerry se encontraba en un vehículo junto a su mujer, y sus dos pequeñas hijas atorados en el tránsito. Los autos no avanzaban nada, de pronto de escucha una explosión y se desata el caos, todos empiezan a correr en dirección contraria, los carros colisionaban por doquier y las personas se atacaban unas a otras.

Gerry was in a vehicle with his wife and two young daughters stuck in traffic. The cars weren’t moving at all, suddenly an explosion was heard and chaos broke out, everyone started to run in the opposite direction, cars were colliding everywhere and people were attacking each other.

Presa del pánico una de sus hijas se pone muy mal y busca la manera de ir por medicinas. En medio del desastre Gerry nota que algunas personas actuaban de forma salvaje y primitiva, para su sorpresa alcanza a ver que se estaban comiendo unos a otros, y presencia el poco tiempo que le lleva a la persona sana volverse también salvaje e irracional. Ante semejante situación hace todo en su poder para poder salir de allí con su familia.

Panicked, one of his daughters becomes very ill and they look for a way to get some medicine. In the midst of the disaster Gerry notices that some people were acting wild and primitive, he was surprise to see that they were eating each other, and he witnesses the short time it takes for the healthy person to also become wild and irrational. Faced with such a situation, he does everything in his power to get out of there with his family.

En un determinado momento recibe una llamada de un viejo amigo suyo, un hombre influyente que conocía del trabajo, le dice que se ponga a salvo que él haría todo lo posible para enviar ayuda. Una familia latina les da asilo en su casa, Gerry en agradecimiento les ofrece una salida pero las cosas van mal y solo un pequeño llamado Tomás escapa con ellos.

At a certain moment he receives a call from an old friend, an influential man he knew from work, who tells him to get to safety and tells him that he will do everything possible to send help. A Latino family gives them asylum in their home, Gerry gratefully offers them a way out but things go wrong and only a little boy named Tomas escapes with them.

El meollo del asunto es que después de ser extraídos y llevados a un lugar seguro, Gerry se entera que la única forma de mantener a su familia a salvo es prestando sus servicios cada vez más. No tiene otra opción más que aceptar y ayudar a descubrir el origen del virus que desató aquel infierno.

The thing is that after being extracted and taken to safety, Gerry finds out that the only way to keep his family safe is to lend his services once again. He has no choice but to accept and help to discover the source of the virus that unleashed all hell.

Soy un fan de las películas de acción y aunque esta película esta basada en un libro que no he leído aún (gracias a Dios) encontré la historia fascinante y hasta cierto punto realista, la manera en la que afecta el virus a las personas, los supervivientes y cómo te invitan a prestar mas atención de la que usualmente se pone en los pequeños detalles, hacen de esta historia una de las mejores refiriéndose a zombies.

I'm a fan of action movies and although this movie is based on a book I haven't read yet (thank God) I found the story fascinating and to some extent realistic, the way the virus affects people, the survivors and how they invite you to pay more attention than you usually do to the little details, make this story one of the best when it comes to zombies.

Brad interpreta a un personaje tan real y completo en esta película. Gerry es un sujeto inteligente, capaz, decidido y muy humano. Se enfrenta a las distintas situaciones adversas de una forma lógica, no teme tomar riesgos y siempre esta dispuesto a ayudar.

Brad plays such a real and complete character in this movie. Gerry is a smart, capable, determined with an strong human side. He faces different adverse situations in a logical way, he is not afraid to take risks and he is always willing to help.

Esta película esta llena de terror, violencia, efectos especiales, un trabajo excelente en el maquillaje y un suspenso constante. La historia se desenvuelve muy bien, aprovechan al máximo el tema de los zombies, muestran los aspectos positivos de la humanidad y me encantó ver como van dando sentido al comportamiento del virus a medida que se desarrolla la película.

This movie is full of terror, violence, special effects, excellent makeup work and constant suspense. The story unfolds very well, it makes the most of the zombie theme, it shows the positive aspects of humanity and I loved seeing how they make sense of the behavior of the virus as the film unfolds.

Y algo que valoro en las películas es que independientemente del género que tenga algún tipo de enseñanza, o que te ponga a reflexionar, si dudas esta película llena todos los requisitos.

And something I value in movies is that regardless of the genre it also has some kind of teaching, or when it gives you something to think about, there’s not doubt this movie fills all the requirements.

Si aún no la has visto, recomiendo que lo hagas. Es definitivamente una excelente película que vale la pena, sobre todo si eres fan del género y especialmente de los zombies.

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend that you do. It is definitely an excellent movie that is worth it, especially if you are a fan of the genre and zombies.
