Hola amigos de Hive account@hivepets un placer saludarles nuevamente a todos los que hacen vida en esta hermosa comunidad, hoy quiero compartir algo que desde hace un tiempo me hace ruido o más bien me choca, y por eso quiero hablar del tema para aclarar algo que lamentablemente se transmite de generación en generación y los perjudicados son nuestras adorables mascotas.

Hello friends of @hivePets a pleasure to greet you again to all who make life in this beautiful community, today I want to compete something that for some time makes me noise or rather shock, and for that reason I want to talk about the subject to clarify something that unfortunately is transmitted from generation to generation and those who are harmed are our lovely pets.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, y me han leído aquí, en mi familia compartimos nuestro hogar con nuestras dos mascotas, Lobo y Kira, y para nosotros es muy importante su bienestar, y el martes por la madrugada llovió en nuestra zona y hubo una fuerte tormenta eléctrica, donde los truenos eran ensordecedores, siendo el motivo que se asustaran demasiado, Tanto, que a pesar de que duermen dentro de la casa, los pobres no encontraban donde esconderse y era tanto el alboroto que inmediatamente me tuve que levantar, y al verlos y quitar la cerca que separa su área de dormir, se fueron directo a nuestra habitación, fue impresionante el miedo que sintieron por esa tormenta.

As many of you know, and have read me here in my family we share our home with our two pets, Lobo and Kira, and for us is very important their welfare, and on Tuesday morning it rained in our area and there was a strong thunderstorm, where the thunder was deafening being the reason that they were too scared, So much so, that although they sleep inside the house, the poor things could not find a place to hide and there was so much commotion that I immediately had to get up, and when I saw them and removed the fence that separates their sleeping area, they went straight to our room, it was impressive the fear they felt because of that storm.

Esa noche al verlos así, no tuvimos el valor de hacerlos volver al lugar donde duermen, así que esa noche Lobo y Kira se despertaron en la habitación. Estaban muy asustados, Kira comenzó a gritar y es comprensible, porque es apenas una cachorra de 4 meses y Lobo a pesar de ser un adulto no dejó de buscar un lugar para esconderse, y quiero aclarar nuevamente que ellos duermen dentro de la casa libres del frío y del agua. Algo que hicimos de inmediato fue tratar de calmarlos abrazándolos y frotándolos para que se sintieran seguros y bajaran el estrés que sentían por los truenos y relámpagos que los asustaron, algo que nunca se debe hacer es tratar de regañarlos ya que esto complicaría las cosas, porque su reacción es involuntaria, movida por el miedo y por muy bien entrenados que estén, no nos harán caso.

That night when we saw them like that, we didn't have the heart to make them go back to the place where they sleep, so that night Lobo and Kira woke up in the room. They were really scared, Kira started to scream and it is understandable, because she is only a 4 months old puppy and Lobo in spite of being an adult did not stop looking for a place to hide, and I want to clarify again that they sleep inside the house free from the cold of the water. Something we did immediately was to try to calm them down by hugging them and rubbing them to make them feel safe and to lower the stress they felt because of the thunder and lightning that frightened them, something that should never be done is to try to scold them since this would complicate things, because their reaction is involuntary, moved by fear and no matter how well trained they are, they will not listen to us.

Algo que me gustaría decir a todos los que hoy en día tenemos la dicha de convivir con una mascota, es que debemos educarnos y concienciarnos en este aspecto, y digo esto porque a muchas personas se les ha transmitido una creencia que para mí es errónea, muchos abuelos e incluso nuestros padres sacan a los perros a los patios traseros cuando esto ocurre, porque creen que los rayos persiguen a nuestros perros y si lo tienen dentro de la casa puede caer un rayo dentro de la casa, y este tema lo pude escuchar al día siguiente cuando oí a personas mayores hablar de ello, que según ellos no era bueno tener los perros dentro de la casa, por lo dicho anteriormente. Y muchos creen que esto es cierto ya que lo escuchan de personas que respetan, como sus padres, pero desgraciadamente se ha transmitido una mentira donde los más perjudicados son nuestros perros donde se mojan, por no hablar del miedo que les atenaza en ese momento.

Something that I would like to say to all of us who today have the joy of living with a pet is that we must educate ourselves and become aware in this aspect, and I say this because many people have been transmitted a belief that for me is wrong, many grandparents and even our parents take the dogs to the backyards when this happens, because they believe that lightning chases our dogs and if they have it inside the house lightning could strike inside the house, and I could hear this issue the next day when I heard older people talking about it, that according to them it was not good to have the dogs inside the house, because of what was said before. And many believe this to be true since they hear it from people they respect, like their parents, but unfortunately a lie has been transmitted where the most harmed are our dogs where they get wet, not to mention the fear that grips them at that moment.

Si lo has escuchado en tu familia, es un bonito gesto para ayudar a esas personas a entender que esto no es cierto, y así proteger a nuestros animales de este miedo que les aterra, por el contrario si esta situación nos sucede lo que debemos hacer es mostrarles nuestro cariño abrazándolos para calmarlos y frotándolos, de esta manera este duro momento para ellos será menos traumático y confiarán mucho más en nosotros. If you have heard it in your family, it is a beautiful gesture to help those people understand that this is not true, and thus protect our animals from this fear that terrifies them, on the contrary if this situation happens to us what we must do is to show them our affection by hugging them to calm them down and rubbing them, in this way this hard moment for them will be less traumatic and they will trust us much more.
