These bright yellow flowers, which tend to attract large numbers of bees and other insects, are called Sphagneticola trilobata, commonly known as creeping daisy or Vedelia, and belong to a species of herbaceous plant belonging to the asteraceae family.

It is native to the tropical zones of South and Central America, and is considered an invasive species in the islands of the Pacific Ocean and in Europe.

In the planters located on the first floor of the building where my mother lives, these little flowers abound, and when I visit her, I usually take pictures of them at different times of the day, looking for the right time when natural light illuminates them from different angles.

Estas florecillas de un intenso color amarillo, y que suelen atraer una gran cantidad de abejas y otros insectis, se denominan Sphagneticola trilobata, conocidas comúnmente como Margarita rastrera o Vedelia, y pertenecen a una especie de planta herbácea perteneciente a la familia de las asteráceas.

Es nativa de las zonas tropicales de América del Sur y de Centroamérica, y se le considera una especie invasora en las islas del Océano Pacífico y en Europa.

En las jardineras ubicadas en la planta baja del edificio donde reside mi madre, abundan estas florecillas, y cuando la visito ,acostumbro tomarles fotografías en diferentes horas del día, buscando el momento adecuado cuando la luz natural, las ilumina desde diversos ángulos.
