Portrait in ballpoint pen #2
Retrato en bolígrafo #2
Greetings my dear friends readers and art lovers, today in a little more practice for my novice hands, I bring you a somewhat modified portrait, but I hope you still like the result ;)
As you know I am currently practicing a little bit of everything and above all I try to practice with a ballpoint pen to have a greater fluency at the time of making the strokes. Today in specific, is one of those moments in which this way of practicing gave a "happy accident" since the result although it is not faithful to the main image gave a very pleasant result and in my opinion quite striking.
Just so you understand the context of the happy accident.... when I started to practice I looked for the photo of the model I was thinking of portraying (reference image here ;) ) then I started with a pen to draw the lines according to where my eye thought but after a few strokes I noticed that the eyebrow did not correspond but as I had no right to erase I simply continued with what I had and tried to put together the total with the strokes (good or bad) at the end after making the total I decided to give a little more character to the portrait to reinforce perhaps the shape that I had inadvertently accentuated in the face of the girl. And some elf ears with a beautiful fabric surrounding her head I think that gave the cherry on top of the cake.
As you know I will leave you a little of how this practice evolved. Something to consider is that this time I started directly by the facial features and not by the contour... maybe that's what made it take that shape... I hope you like it anyway.
Thank you very much for reading to the end of the post, I would like to know your opinions about this happy accident, I hope you will like the final result. Love you and hope to see you in a next time.
