Today's #tarottuesday and #topofthemorningtarot picks are from My Herbal Deck by Michael Tierra and designed by Candice Canlin.
You can pick card 1, 2 or 3 or any combo.... today's three card pick represents 1: past 2: present 3: future
Card 1: Two of Pentacles: Yellow Dock Rumex crispuse
Yellow Dock is a blood tonic, used to stimulate the secretion of bile through the liver. It is an alterative (meaning restore the proper function of the body and increase health and vitality), mild laxative and aids in purifying the blood and whole system. It can assist in raising iron levels in the blood and because of this it can help with anemia.
In the picture; a beautiful women is holding 2 of pentacles in her hand, in the distance we see 2 ships sailing away. This is an appropriate pick for the past energies. It reminds us to let go internally of things not serving our highest intentions. The symbolism of the number 2 and polar opposites, two sides to every story and the balance of this polarity within yourself. The old you, seeks a balance, the new you is balanced. I take yellow dock in tincture form at least twice a week and notice a weaker energy field if I skip it. You can find in most health food stores. If in alcohol base you can boil a cup of water or tea and put the drops in hot water to burn off the alcohol, I prefer this method, because the effectiveness and strength of tincture in alcohol is amazing, however I don't want the alcohol to affect my liver when I'm focusing on healing that. Takes a few minutes for the alcohol to evaporate... you can sometimes find tinctures with glycerine based and those will be alcohol free.
Card 2: VIII Strength: Cayenne Capsicum annuum
Strength is part of the Major Arcana cards and represents the power and courage to face the outer challenges of every day existence. The strength to persevere and dedicate to the now moments of your convictions and strengths. This position of the second card drawn today and the current flow of energies is appropriate for moving energies.
Cayenne is an amazing plant it has one of the highest levels of vitamin C in the pepper family. I literally use it every day and think of the saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away well put Cayenne in that jingle! A sprinkle of cayenne a day will keep the doctor away!
Ruled by the Sun, in the house of Leo, Cayenne stimulates the circulation of blood and energy.. It is by far the number one blood coagulator! I often have a pound of it in my glove box in my car in case of first aid emergencies. If you are anywhere and are bleeding to death or animals, you can literally pack a glob of cayenne on an open wound and it will coagulate the blood, at that point of need noone cares about the burning! Back in the day when I co-lived on a commune we were 90 miles from nowhere and we just returned from the big city where are female black lab had been fixed, that night I observed a trail of blood on the walking path and to my surprise the dogs wound had opened and she was literally bleeding out. We were so far away from town and any emergency clinic. I had learned from a native elder that cayenne could coagulate blood, so I applied about a cup of cayenne on the wound wrapped gauze around her entire mid section so she couldn't lick it off and within 2 hours it was completely closed up and healing, amazing healer plant indeed! Cayenne, also is known to give vitality to one's energy field and to move coldness out of the system.
Card 3: Two of Wands: Basil: Ocimum basilicum
In this picture the nobleman is holding the Earth in his hand while keeping grounded with his wand in the other. He is assessing the future of his journey and where his next adventure will be. Looking to his future of his full potential and symbolizing aspirations, perfect card pick for the future you.. 2019 is the new beginning of the new you. Wands are ruled by fire and signify the balance of self and outer world, which means time to light that fire under your feet and in your heart and set some intentions and goals that are from a loving place.
Basil, known as one of the master herbs it is a carminative, anti inflammatory, royal herb in culinary and diaphoretic. It can be used as a tea to help with gas in the stomach and colds and fevers. I find it great to clear my lungs and sinuses. I use a food grade essential oil when out of season. The essential oil it is quite concentrated, you only need one drop for an addition to most dishes. Basil can aid in a feeling of genuine appreciation of one's own accomplishments and talents... an openess for self love. I've rarely met anyone that doesn't love basil!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoying the message for the day, week and year: let go of the internal stories that no longer serve your highest divine self, be content in the now you and look to the future year setting some intention that's reachable and fun! Integrate these herbs in your lifestyle to help aid you in this...
