El Ray Del Taco - Tasteem Review

The other day I needed to get lunch really quickly and so I just picked a place that was extremely close to my apartment. El Rey Del Taco fit the bill. I was in too much of a hurry to take my own picture of the facade or the menu, here is a pic of the facade I got from google maps:

I was seated very quickly and the first thing I noticed was there was extremely loud latin american music which made me feel like I was back in Mexico (: there was also a MASSIVE salsa bar that you can see on the right side of this photo:

I immediately dove into the free salsa and chips. The salsas weren't labeled, but once you've been around enough of them, you know what to expect just by looking at them LOL... The darker one was a very hot and smoky chipotle salsa, and the other was basically the traditional very tomato-y salsa. Both were amazing and very fresh:

And then they brought out my burrito. It was the "Burrito Regular with chicken". It was awesome, and overall a good deal, and FAST which is what I needed. I was very surprised to find out that the burrito came with fries and not just more chips, but, I really like fries so I didn't really care:

I don't think this place was as good as the other mexican place I have Tasteemed, Tlaquepaque, but it was definitely delicious and authentic enough for me (:
