Leberkäse is a Bavarian speciality that can be eaten hot or cold. It tastes best warm when freshly prepared. As a side dish I recommend potato salad or simply a pretzel with sweet mustard. Leberkäse was invented as early as 1776 by the court butcher of Elector Maximilian III Joseph of Bavaria. For over 200 years it has been one of the most popular classics of Bavarian cuisine.
The butcher's shop Boneberger offers daily fresh warm Leberkäse. You can eat it directly at the table, put it in a bread roll on the way or have it packed and enjoy it at home.
The butcher's shop slaughters calves, pigs, sheep and poultry 3 days a week. The animals all come from certified farmers in the region, which guarantees the best quality.
