Whenever I'm shopping at the weekend, I end up going to the Ihle bakery. There I buy bread and something sweet for my Sunday coffee.
But I can't hold myself back and always have to take a Bavarian Pretzel Stick with me which I then eat immediately in the car. It tastes best when it has just come warm from the oven. For me this is the best street food, because you don't get sticky fingers and you don't have to be careful when eating, because nothing drips and spills. Have you ever eaten a kebab while walking?
The Pretzel Sticks are available in different variations and you can choose between salt, sunflower seeds, sesame or poppy seeds.
The bakery Ihle is a classic family business which is already managed by the fourth generation. It all started more than 120 years ago when Georg Ihle built an outdoor oven and baked his woodchopper bread there. Today the range has grown to 150 different products, a selection that few bakeries can offer. Traditional bakery products and seasonal alternating specialities are offered every day and everything is subject to quality assurance in order to offer the same quality every day. There is really something for every taste with sweet, savoury, light, fruity or temperamentally spiced specialities.
Anyone who has now gotten hungry should visit the bakery Ihle. The selection is fantastic and if you have time you can have a cup of coffee there.
