Had one too many flights at the Amsterdam Brewery with a few friends the other day. Now that it's playoff season, nothing beats brews with the boys at your favorite hotspot. Amsterdam Brewery is a local pub, they make their own beers and I've had them all. Their most popular beer is the Amsterdam Blonde, but I prefer the Boneshaker.
Pictured second from the left in the main image the Boneshaker is a hoppy, high alcohol brew, so you only need to pound back a couple to feel tipsy. They have all sorts of beers, including the sacrilegious Raspberry Wheat Beer, the not so bad Big Wheel Amber, the Downtown Brown a perfect pairing with most hearty meals and the I'm at the cottage so I will drink a dozen 3 Speed light beers.
The bar is located in an old warehouse on the lakefront in Toronto. They have a couple of related locations around the city but this is the best one. It's not your cheapest place to get sloshed although you can always hit up the takeaway store and take your brews to go. The food is decent and the crowd is a hip mix of locals and tourists.
