Barista Jam, my top favorite cafe in Hong Kong. It's twin floors café locate in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. Sheung Wan is what I called "best coffee suburb" in Hong Kong, which has so many famous specialty coffee brewers like Barista Jam, The Cupping Room, Coffeeholic, Brew Bros Coffee etc.(years ago my top pick is Catfe but it's closed now sadly)

When you entry, you can see their kitchen and coffee bar at the left and smell the great, fabulous coffee smell. After just a while, you will be attracted by the design as well, the light, the tables, the tools along with so many stored coffees beans fit against the wall.
Maybe you won't be surprised by the photos as it really looks like the common place of what I have experienced in Australia, but the thing is -it's located in Hong Kong, a mixture of Eastern and Western cultures. That makes Barista Jam outstanding from others

When we(I) talk about coffee place, the coffees are a MUST to mention and compare. Barista Jam offers unique coffee experiences with fresh beans selected by the brewers, the water(rare resources in HongKong), the milks(only few choices). Plus the skills of the barista, that comes to the best coffee(self- rate) in Hong Kong.
As a coffee-lover, I pay special attention to all the components, not only the beans, but water, milks and skills. People always forget, and that's why I mentioned specially.
Coffee experiences are not limited to normal milk coffee, Barista Jam also offers cupping or coffees tasting in a handful selection by the barista as well. They will teach you to taste them one-by-one, explain the differences and how the taste should be like. Every every time I learned a lot.

Other than the coffees and pastries, pasta and sandwiches are offered to hungry stomach. I love the Herbal chicken & Avocado sandwiches, that's very juicy and big. Carbonara is a favorite of my another-half, that's tasty and quite nice with coffees. But I would say, sandwiches are the perfect match with coffees still, light taste, health and big enough to fill up the hunger.

Pricing:
Milk coffee & Cupping: 5 STEEM/ 8 STEEM
Sandwiches: 7.5 STEEM
Pasta: 9.5 STEEM
This time we spent: 30 STEEM
(a typical lunch for Hong Kong people is 6.3 STEEM)
Final words:
Best coffee and great foods
Excellent services, English communication
Great atmosphere and design
10 mins walking from transportation
Barista Jam is really a Gem for me, I used to go there once a month to relax myself.
