Mcsorley's Ale House is more than a place to grab a beer. The place is full of history.
Mcsorleys is the oldest still operating saloon in New York. Everything is old here including the memorabilia over and in the bar. There are handcuffs cuffed to the bar which are rumored to be Houdini's. Many stories abound from the decor of the Ale House.
As you walk through the swinging doors, the place is bustling. The sawdust on the floor lends a welcoming air to this old bar. Everything is simple here.... Cold beer and old friends.
The place can get touristy on the weekends but it still has the feeling of an old Irish pub.
