When I go to #BrightonBeach, I buy some type of #bread item from a #Russian, #Georgian or #Uzbek #bakery to eat on the beach. Yesterday, I got a #samsa at this #Uzbekbakery on #BrightonBeachAve near 5th Street for the first time; it was one of the most #divine #edibles I've ever had! The thin shell is dough cooked to perfection in that #beautiful oven, topped with sesame seeds. The inside it was packed (and I mean packed--not just a teaspoon of filling in a #doughball) with roasted #onions and #yellowpeppers, with all sorts of spices. How lucky are we as #NewYorkers that we can pop into all these #bakeries (especially this one!) and eat such #phenomenal #food from all over the globe on the #beach?
