I have mentioned in a previous article the potential of "gamification of politics and political usage of Steemit". In this article I will be discussing the potential of the gamification of Tauchain and how this can have an extremely positive impact on the serious games and alternate reality gaming communities. In addition, the convergence exists between "games" and "politics" as outlined in a paper titled "gamification of politics". While I am not particularly dedicated to a political agenda at this time, I will say that there are some unique concepts to discuss here which is relevant for people who are dedicated to politics.
Global solutions networks and Tauchain
Global solutions networks (GSNs) are multi-stakeholder networks which exist to help solve global problems. These networks bring together diverse stakeholders from different sectors of society when interests are aligned. In the cause of Tauchain I would hope that Tauchain can become one of the most effective platforms for a global solutions networks.
The multi-stakeholder governance model
In order for Tauchain to effectively provide governance for the Internet it would be necessary to learn from the institutions which currently have the most experience governing the Internet such as ICANN. The multi-stakeholder governance model is the model favored by ICANN and is proven effective but due to the current structure of the Internet it is also somewhat limited and because Tauchain doesn't yet exist we cannot take the model to it's next level. Tauchain will allow us to fully test out the multi-stakeholder governance model and provide governance capabilities for any community, institution, or for the Internet itself. It is my current understanding that the multi-stakeholder governance model represents the current "state of the art" unless someone can show a better model.
Tauchain can improve the multi-stakeholder governance model by allowing people to more effectively generate proposals which meet the requirements of all stakeholders. Tauchain will include a very unique not yet unveiled consensus mechanism which will allow a group of undetermined size to reach agreement. This mechanism which will be explained in the upcoming future Tauchain whitepaper will illustrate how a group of stakeholders can form a "theory" together. For a hint, look up finite model theory and model theory to understand part of the collaborative theory formation mechanism.
Gamification and it's potential on Tauchain
First a quote from my article:
"Alternate Reality Games take things a step further than merely a game with a purpose. An ARG blends the game into reality seamlessly by using the social media technology. There are some ARGs which use augmented reality and there are some that don't but the point to note is that an ARG is a transmedia experience, and the media to use is whichever media, so this means websites, blockchains, Youtube videos, all can be part of the game. An Alternate Reality Game with a noble purpose, would be an Alternate Reality Game with a purpose, and would be an example of gamification of politics."
Tauchain will allow a group to collaborate and generate a continuous story, with the benefits of artificial intelligence included. Tauchain will have the capability to reward the players for participation in many forms, whether it be psychological rewards such as "likes" and "upvotes", reputation rewards, rare virtual items, cryptocurrency or other redeemable tokens. What counts here is that the mechanism design is structured appropriately so that collaborative game development, story telling, and other aspects of measuring the outcomes, can be in place for a serious ARG to be possible. The concept of a serious ARG is a very new concept just as Bitcoin was once very new, but it is also a very powerful concept which can be used to help solve global problems. Mechanisms such as algorithmic crowdsourcing, human computation, and more, can all be used to facilitate participation with the game.
