It appears that Amazon paid $0 in Federal taxes last year(2017) where their net profit was $5 billion.
The reason is Amazon's global headquarters are in Luxembourg which is a tax haven in Europe. I mean seriously I don't know how to react. There is a part of me which is learning how to get rich and stay rich and there is another part of me which is your average Joe.
The entrepreneur side is excited that one day i might be able to get away with something similar. While the Average Joe is appalled by the thought that I with a miniscule fraction of Amazon's profit(not revenue) have to pay these huge taxes.
