The TB12 Method is a book by Tom Brady of the New England Patriots football team on "How to achieve a lifetime of sustained peak performance"
Brady works with his friend and body coach Alex Guerrero to develop a method to develop muscle pliability. There are twelve principles (sound familiar?) leading to improved health, well-being, energy, and my personal favorite: vitality.
I grew up in Massachusetts, and was a fan of the Patriots beginning in the mid-1970's. There were some woeful years there and important to note that I am not a bandwagon fan due to their recent success. I currently live in Bend, Oregon, home of Drew Bledsoe, the quarterback of the Patriots prior to Brady. Bledsoe had a fantastic career and is now a wine maker. He also enjoys the great outdoors we have here in Central Oregon. Follow him on Twitter, @DrewBledsoe, as he posts great photos of his adventurous lifestyle, his wine making, and his children in their sporting lives.
I have a knee injury now, and it is frustrating it won't heal as fast as it used to. I am 51 years old, taught snowboarding for about ten years and moved here to be active. It sucks that I can't even walk my dog now.... My sister surprised me with Brady's book as an early birthday present and it came in the mail from Amazon on Wednesday, two days after it was released. I am excited to read it and learn as much as possible about keeping my body healthy.
I love yoga and holistic approaches to life and Brady touches upon these topics in this his first book. Pliability, from my understanding, is the process of making muscles more flexible and less prone to injury.
Darn, I gotta take a leak now and pick up my daughter from school. This is my first post as you very well may have noticed. Thanks for reading and for any feedback. yorgolex
