After I have been sick for several weeks and have been drinking liters of this tea, I thought let's share this with the world.
During summer I drink this cold because it is very refreshing, but oh so comforting drinking it hot in these cold days.
The main ingredients are: rosehip tea, ginger, mint , lime who all give you a lot of health benefits.
Ginger is among the healthiest (and most delicious) spices on the planet. It is high in gingerol, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Mint leaves, especially freshly crushed ones, help you deal with nausea and headache. The strong and refreshing aroma of mint is a quick and effective remedy for nausea
In addition to vitamin C, lime contains special compounds called flavonoids (limonoids such as limonin glucoside) which have antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic, antibiotic, and detoxifying properties that stimulate the healing process of peptic and oral ulcers.
Drinking rosehip tea boosts a weak immune system, and helps skin conditions, chronic pain, indigestion, high toxicity levels, arthritis, gout, inflammatory conditions, high cholesterol, and hypertension.
In a large pot for 2 liter of water I add 100-150 gr of ginger, and I boil it for at least 10 minutes. Then I put the rest of the ingredients in : 5 baggs or teaspoons of rosehip tea, a handful of mint (or more), the juice of one lime and 1 large spoon of fruit sugar, or honey or agave syrup. Sometimes I add lime leafs or lemongrass, depends on what I have in stock.
Then I leave it for the night, so all the flavours burst out in the morning. enjoy :-)
