Today is National Teachers' Day in the United States.
I remember some great teachers I had. My favorites were my Chemistry (also my driving instructor - maybe because we had the same birthday) and Biology (had him for both Biology and Advanced Biology) teachers in high school. I also had a great Flute instructor when I was in Junior High, and his wife was also a great math teacher I had in 7th grade. My Algebra teacher was also wonderful, though he got on me when I tutored my younger brother saying I was teaching him stuff they hadn't covered, yet. I don't know where any of these teachers are, or if they are still alive, today, except for my flute instructor and his math teacher wife (who no longer live where I grew up in Wisconsin, but are now in Arizona).
I hope my children think that I was a good teacher, since I homeschooled them. It does give me great pride to say that I taught my children how to read, write, and do math. I hope I also taught them to love learning.
Do you have any teachers that you considered great?
