Hi everyone, I'm writing to you today from Cairns in beautiful, tropical North Queensland. The friend I'm visiting lives in a resort which has like five pools or something. Since you know I love pools I'm going throw some photos of the ones I found for visual interest and to make you all jealous while I talk about the meet-up.

Ok, so first things first. I want to apologise for my general level of shitness at steemit this week. My routine is completely out of whack now that I'm back in Australia and I've pretty much not read anything unless I've been looking for curie worthy posts. Not sure when I'll get the next Team Australia update out either. Hopefully this week though, cos I'll be back down in Brisbane today and then housesitting, meaning I should have some kind of new normal routine going on.

So what is the purpose of this post, apart from making you wish you had better real life friends? I'm organising a meet-up and I'm making it official by inking it on the block.

Here's what you need to know

When?

2-4pm Saturday 30th December.

Can't do that day? Too bad. I'll be flying back to Panama the following Saturday on 6 January, so it's the 30th or you'll have to wait a year until next Christmas when I'm back again.

Obviously there's nothing stopping you from organising your own meet-up whenever you want in the meantime.

Where?

Riverbar & Kitchen, Eagle Street, Brisbane.

Why here?

It was decided in the #teamaustralia chat room on Discord that a pub was a better idea than a park. I chose this one cos:

it's nice
it has has lots of outdoor seating (hopefully it won't rain)
Story Bridge views
they make good chips.

Perfect for a Saturday afternoon.

How do I get there?

If you're getting the train or bus it's about a 10min walk from Central Station or King George Square. If you're getting the CityCat then it's a 2 minute walk from Riverside Ferry Terminal.

There's plenty of parking down near Eagle Street if you're driving, although you might struggle to find free on-street parking, so be prepared to pay.

Who's coming?

Me, obviously. And hopefully these people since they've expressed an interest. If I'm there by myself I won't be happy. This will be my face in Discord if no one shows up. 😡

So come on Brisbane. The last attempt at a meet-up in November was really piss poor. We at least have to try and give Adelaide a run for it's money!
