The Humble Lamington
While I'm still on my food theme for the moment, I thought I should include the Lamington.
A sponge cake cut in half with some jam in the middle, coated with chocolate and rolled in coconut. Not super complex but still very yummy.
These have always been a staple at the local fund raiser or school stalls. They are good for a quick snack as they don't really fill you up. It could also have something to do with why they don't seem to last. Turn around and the plate is empty.
Gear up, stock up, the war is coming.
