2. Boring Title
Hello brother, Please make your post title as interesting as possible. Don't do it as if you are lost at sea and writing a day to day journal. Unless if your blog is really about your experience being lost at sea.
Title : Day 256
Boat is sinking, please help me. anyone?
3. Copy and paste
Yo Brother, Cheetah hates plagiarism, the community frown on it. Give yourself a bit of credit. it may not be perfect writing but think of it as a chance for you to practice, learn and improve your writing skills. Over time it get better. Trust me, i know how it feels, remember never plagiarized.
4. Not using markdown.
Brother, You gotta help yourself to beautify your post. Put some effort to make it look good. Check out the Markdown Styling Guideon other ways to make it look better. take time to study it and improve the look of your post. Even as simple as putting your photos centre will make a huge difference.
5. Mention Your Source
Dude, Failing to mention you source is No- No. The rules are simple, if it ain't yours, give credit and put up the source of where you got it from.
6. NOT Engaging
Aiyohh brother, Which planet you are from again? If you plan to be on steemit, make a post and get the world to upvote you, you are definitely on the wrong planet. It's like putting on your swimwear but didn't jump in the pool, yet expecting to get wet.
You need to comment, answer who commented on your post, upvote and resteem good post. once a while, mention my name in your post. and i will give it some love. Dude, Seriously you got to engage with everyone.
7. Offline and Online Love
Dude, I am not talking matchmaking sites. I am talking about being active in the steemit community in the online world only but get your ass at the offline event. It is always nice to connect the face and the name, Everyone love to get to know you better, perhaps there is more in common than you think. Think about this, not only you make friends, posting about your meet up makes you money too.
8. Wasted Content
If you decided to make a long post, don't be an idiot like me. Use other writing software ie notes, Microsoft words, etc before putting it up on steemit. One of the biggest mistakes i made was writing it directly on the steemit and do all the editing work there. when i was about to finish, i made a huge mistake by deleting my work of which i cant retrieve after.
Check out this videoon how sad and frustrated i was.
9. Follow me, I Follow you, UpVote Me, I UpVote you
Dude, Seriously stop it. This is the ridiculous desperate choice of word to gain supporters ever. You see, in steemit the principal is simple. There is no obligation to Upvote you or follow you, everyone has a free will to do or not to do so. if you really want people to follow you, make sure what you post has value to the community and to those who read it. communicate and make friends. When i see a good post, i will upvote and resteem and if the person is interesting, i will follow. Pretty simple right?, Dont worry, you'll get there.
10. There More In Steemit Than Short Gain
While it is typical for newbies to be excited to cash out their Steem Dollar to buy new handphone, weed and beer money. By the way, those purchase is not in reference to anyone, i am just saying i didn't do it.
There is more to just happy trigger cash out. The bigger picture is on the potential and the value that you can acquire in the steem future. Start Investing in steem, PoweUP today.
11. Be The Real You
Dude, you gotta be the real you, stop pretending you are puff daddy on steemit. Tell your story, everyone got one. there is real value in your story and the community is you, me and all of us. I look forward to reading more about you and things you want to share. let's learn from each other, be nice, be kind and let steemit be the best community platform on the planet because it can be.
12. Chill Out
I know how frustrating it is to see a post that you work hard on seems valued so little by others while looking at other people post, a post that you think is a simple post is valued and upvoted highly. I know that at times the word that comes through your mind is, that isn't fair. I hear this complaint over and over again.
You got to chill out. Let's look at it this way, if beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so does your post. Everyone view thing and appreciate thing differently. You got to have patience, keep working the good fight, don't compare yourself with others. just compare your current work with your past. So long there is progress, its something you can be proud of, the reward will come eventually. Trust in the spirit and goodwill steemit community. you will get there, eventually.
