I was test flying my DJI Mavic Pro at Station 3A of AhPek Hill , Cheras, Selangor near my Hypercube @ SOHOland project (co-working & co-living) this afternoon. It was a bit fool-hardy of me to do such test in an environment (numerous tall trees with huge branches) certainly not conducive for such flight, as any experienced drone pilot would have advised.
However, I have to carry out such a test flight, as I believed the use of drone in a touristic or recreational site could potentially be a good business proposal. It could both be exciting to view the performance of the drone and gain some knowledge of aviation or aviation technologies-- certainly a branch of high technology.
To prove my case, the test flight certainly created excitement in those present, including three couch-surfers who stayed at my project. Nadia (from Russia)and Anni (from Poland) helped in getting the videos done here. Many thanks to them for the collaboration...
Indeed, I even suspected that a curious monkey was also attracted to the excitement created. In fact, he followed us all the way down the hill, after my test flight....I tried to frighten him off by striking my steel rod which I used to carry with me during such hiking. However, he was not scared of the noise created by the steel rod....
He was almost at the stage of jumping on me while reaching Station 1. However, an experienced fellow hiker took out his whistle and ave it a real loud blow. The curious and persistent monkey finally retreated to the jungle...
