Growing up in Malaysia where it is hot all year long and stuck to hot and humid for 365days a year, experiencing snow would turn me into a happy child in a heartbeat! Being here in the UK for the past two years, we have never experience snowfall like this in Huddersfield. It has been snowing on and off for a week, and it really feels like Christmas!!! I was pretty disappointed on my first Christmas here because I was expecting a white Christmas. But instead, all I got was rain!
The locals call us crazy for loving the snow so much and even crazier that we would want to go out in this blazing snow! Me and another Malaysian friend of mine, Edmund, were super excited and decided to build the biggest snowman we can! So we grabbed our buckets, scoop, carrot for the nose, oreo cookies for the eyes and buttons, hat, scarf, and black threads for the mouth. Boy were we on a mission!!
When we reached Greenhead Park, we spent nearly 2 hours taking photos here and there and of each other (making sure its insta perfect, LOL!) before even finding a proper spot for our snowman! We were doing silly actions for boomerang like jumping up and down, twirling like a ballerina, and running up and down the lane!!!
After we were satisfied taking photos here and there, we finally found the perfect spot for our lovely snowman! Boy was it hard work to build a snowman! And because the snow was so powdery, it was so hard to stick together and mould it! Who would've thought that it took us 2 hours to build this cute snowman who was almost as tall as I am! hahaha!!
We went up and down, scooping snow and repeat! By the time we got home we could barely feel our face, legs and hands! ESPECIALLY OUR HANDS!!! But it was so much fun and a totally new experience for us! Especially when it snowed so heavily while building the snowman! Cant really see it in the pictures because we only got our phones out when the weather was a bit calmer. It was one of the most memorable and happiest day of my life! We were out playing like kids!
As you can tell from the photos how happy we were!!! I mean, how can you not like snow? I think its amazing how God created snow! Its like white magic dust that glitters in the sunlight! Just beautiful!
That pretty much sums up our snow adventure! We ended up spending a good whole 4 hours or more in the park! Wishing for more snow to come! haha!
