These are schools, believe it or not!
We've been building much like looking for a needle in a haystack... We had aspirations to create an avenue where pinoy and pinay steemit users would rally together but that came without a sound direction.
Its been a year in the platform but we havent had nice things to do other than getting beaten at the challenges on #steemwars
We know where to go but didnt know how to get there, but that was not until yesterday..
It all started with this chat msg
In our regular chats at discord channel,
thought of doing charity... an outreach project to be undertaken by #teamph

This led me to suggesting
to try Mindoro as a prospect. Having been there for more than two years, I saw how the Indigenous People on the Island composing of 7 tribes needed help from the outside.
Then I showed
these pictures..
These are school classrooms, believe it or not!
Ive studied in a public school system but never could I have imagined that these photos were schools. Way back in 2014, I stayed in the Island of Mindoro for 2 years and managed to immerse myself with communities high up the mountains, help them in any way I can.
I saw these structures in different communities of the Indigenous People in Mindoro and I was shocked when I realized these were actually schools were the IP children study for their future.
With those experiences in mind, the moment I joined steemit, I thought of running a series of posts aimed at generating support to the projects #keephopealive had been doing.
I was supposed to run a series of posts on my experiences in mindoro... all earnings to be donated to keephope alive, unfortunately payouts did not went well then, only few upvoted the contents. It was only a couple of posts before I gave up. I thought charity was not a thing for early adopters of steemit.
KeepHopeAlive:Heart of a Volunteer
This post was the supposed prelude of my charity posts for mangyan schools and communities that didn't went well.
Yesterday showed me this and convinced me to give it a try for the second time.. He posted some of the photos I sent him and tried to test the river... It was a good start.
too had wonderful ideas on how to go over it again.
Because of this I felt compelled to do it once again.
I thought this might be a good project for #teamphilippines.
