Currently on the tip of Africa we are suffering with something called 'Winter'.
All people are exposed to this and even though we barely ever get snow (so not as cold as other places) in my books its close to unbearable.
These cold and long nights, caused me to go bed just after 19:00 last night.
Having gone to bed that early meant I woke up at 03:00 and could no longer go back to sleep.
I got up and sat at the kitchen counter , gas heater on full blast, the only source of light.
and starting singing to myself . 'Hello darkness my all friend...'
Since this morning, this song as been looping in my head.
So now I share with you the version that has been playing all morning.
The Sound of Silence - Touch of Class
Touch of Class with Ruhan du Toit and Deon van der Merwe.
Most people prefer the Original, Tom Wilsons remix or Disturbed version. I lean more to the rock, and having chosen this one over Disturbed, I suppose it may require a reason.
Simply put.. Guitar ... riff.
This Tune is so iconic, and often in my discovery of people, I listen to the things that are unsaid.
There are so many people that are unheard, mostly because the words are unsaid.
But some things are shared without saying anything.
Communication is extremely important. Sometimes it may not matter how, just that it does happen.
Let me know what you think, and what your favorite version is...
Until Next Time...
