Hail to the Hive!
There’s something about old ruins and #monocrome. Stone in general really brings out the textures and you can’t help be drawn into seing the contrasts and grains, the little details stand out and take on so much more of the viewers attention. So when I’d hiked all the way up to Castell Dinas Brân in Llangollan, Wales, I knew my #monomad itch was gonna get scratched.
The ruins date back to the 12th century and you feel like you are looking through a time portal as you take shots through the old doorways and windows.
The views are incredible and really give a great backdrop the the stome framework in the images.
It was a bit of a trek to get up but so worth it. Incredible views, interesting ruins and that perspective of the world you can only get from a great height looking down at the houses and fields. So much seems so small and insignificant from so high up, the bigger picture unfolds and makes the old brain go tick tock whirrrr click as you re evaluate your olace in the grand scheme of things. Such a small cog in such a big wheel.
