About a month ago, I bought an iPhone 12 Pro and Airpods Pro. As you know, they don't come with an adapter (only cable). Both have lightning to USB-C port so I can just use one cable for the two.
I have USB-C adapter that I could use, which was from my iPad Pro. Of course, it saved me money from buying another adapter which was the biggest advantage but the disadvantage is that I can only charge one at a time. It's also not very convenient cos I have to unplug the cable from the adapter and change it to new one then unplug again to change. So tiring lol.
I am also aware of the wireless charging feature of both devices so I just thought, why not just buy a wireless charging pad?
I went to an authorized Apple reseller and found a wireless charging pad. The brand is Belkin and it was the only one left. I wanted a white but I just bought the black anyway since there might have no white in the other branch.
The price was $37. Not bad as long as I can make sure it won't destroy my devices.
To use it, you just connect it to a power source and it's good to go! I have removed my case because at first try it won't charge with my case on but later on I tried it with a case and to my surprise, it actually still works. It just wasn't positioned right.
It's so convenient cos all I had to do is plug the pad once (can leave it there) and when I need to charge, I just put the device on top.
At the first night actually it took me 10 hours to charge lol. I thought maybe it wasn't working well. Then I just found out it has a led light below it that should light up whenever it's charging and I didn't notice it when I first used it so probably just wasn't positioned right.
My cat also probably moved it quite a bit cos if it wasn't in a correct position, it shouldn't charge. But it charged for like 87% for 10 hours so something probably happened during the time when I slept.
It also works on Airpods Pro too! But I just really have to find the right position and it's a bit of a struggle but personally I don't mind since all I really have to do is place it on top.
The charging pad is 10w so it is fast charging for a wireless charger. I think Magsafe charger is 7w so I think this is more ideal. Plus it looks stylish.
The led light turns white when it is currently charging and just stays that way. It will turn orange whenever there's something incorrectly placed on top and won't charge.
To conclude, I like it. It's really just convenient. It works even when I have iPhone case on which is really great.
