Delusion of grandeur also known as megalomania is a type of condition that occurs in patients suffering from wide range of psychriatric disorder such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, delirium, dementia, substance abuse disorder e.t.c.
Delusions of grandeur is described as a gross and false over estimation of one's personal worth and importance. It's is generally a mental disorder. Patients suffering from delusions of grandeur believe they are famous, powerful, wealthy e.t.c.

A group of Doctors walked into the psychriatric unit of a hospital to see a young man suffering from delusions of grandeur. He was the first to notice the doctors and ask them to come along, you could not miss the tell-tale signs of his mental condition. The swagger at which he walked was quite obvious, the false air of importance , his cabinet meetings that he held the previous day which only took place in his imaginations.
