Quitting Facebook and other social media isn't going to solve your problems. Social media isn't hurting you, your habits hurt you. Social media gives us access to so much free information and communication that you would NEVER have otherwise. The problem arises when you delete those who have differing opinions, only follow the same types of pages and people, and don't explore. You are abusing the power of data-driven information. Learn how to use social media effectively and you'll open more books than you ever will in college. If you have to quit social media, you are suffering from your own low levels of discipline.
In other news, #Steemit is social media that pays you for good content. Something I think everyone should be hopping into ASAP. I can't believe how little traction SteemIt actually gets. I tell people about SteemIt and they just dismiss it like "getting paid? That's cool, but it's not Facebook soo...." or I get "I don't understand blockchain and I don't want to learn".
It blows my mind that some people are so unwilling to learn about new technology.
