Hello friends, its been a whole 7 days without a post. Not bcos i don't have one but bcos I couldn't just get myself to put any down. Thanks to the show by
that have made me just decide to do this before the show.
So, a part of our touring as tourmates is that we do choose some fridays for hangouts. This last friday was one of such and the only different thing was that we decided to try out a different type of night out with the Silent disco powered by house of oni
Can you imagine a night club where there is no music blasting from the speakers and a situation wherein you have the option to switch between 3 songs at any particular period in time. And i guess you are imagining same thing I was imagining before visiting the club that night. It's the possibility of two people dancing together but both listening to different musics. You can imagine one person listening to rock and the other, a slower music... Haha. But it was fun at the end.
The way it works is that everyone is given a headphone in which they have the opportunity of switching between 3 musics to listen to at particular times. For this, there are 3 DJs in the club mixing their own music for each of the different channels. These channels are identified with the green, red and blue colours.

It was an interesting and dramatic night as all you hear is people singing along to the musics they're listening to per time and since there are 3 possible ones, you get to hear people singing along to 3 musics at a time with their "non-music friendly" voices...lol. It's a different case when listening to music and singing along in a night club with loud music wherein your own version is overpowered by the blasting speakers...lol
Here is one of the DJs. The one handling the red channel
It was a nice experience i must say. What happened mostly was that everyone switch from one channel to the other depending on the ones other listeners think was giving what they expected. There were many situations in which my friends would just come and tell me to change to the channel they're in bcos they believe I'll love the music playing at that time and vice versal.
