Would you believe there is a Shazam for your cough?
There is an app planned for release late 2017 that could do this. Yes… it has been medically tested at reputable hospitals, with over 90% accuracy rates.
Could this be the next huge hit app like…Uber, Whatsapp, Snapchat, Airbnb?
In fact, over 700 million+ people are diagnosed with respiratory disease in the OECD countries alone. This doesn't include China.
Have you ever had a cough?
Well, next time you or your family gets a cough, you will want to get your germs into this app & diagnose your cough instantly.
Is your cough a simple cold, or could it be worse…. pneumonia, bronchitis, or asthma. Well Resapp is able to differentiate between these respiratory illnesses.
Have you ever wondered how Shazam can pick up the song name & artist in a noisy environment so fast?
Shazam uses sound signature analysis to compare sounds against their data base of songs. Its accurate, fast and helpful when you need to know the name of that song.
So….. you think this is a joke? And you want to know how it works?
Well…. Resapp Health (ResappHealth.com.au) a digital health solutions company has been studying cough sounds for over 6 years through an Australian University. Resapp have developed an app that enables you to cough into the microphone on your smartphone and a machine learning algorithm is used to diagnose your cough, just like Shazam “diagnoses” the song.
How can you get this app?
The app is going through FDA approval process prior to release. Once it has the stamp of approval from the FDA it could be classified as a medical device and then be downloaded and used by doctors.
Who owns Resapp?
It’s a publicly listed company on the Australian stock exchange.
