Reuters reports:
Catalonia’s High Court on Friday ordered Google to delete an application that it said Catalan separatists were using to spread information about a disputed independence vote this Sunday.

The app in question On votar 1-Oct (pictured above) would have communicated the location of voting boxes to its users. And, as voting was underway on October 1, 2017, presumably ballot box locations could have been updated by the development team as Spanish police interfered with the election.
This referendum has been strongly opposed by the Spanish government. Police have previously arrested 14 Catalan officials and confiscated 10 million ballots.
F-Droid: Free and Open-Source Software Outside of Google's Walled Garden
Google's complicity with the Spanish government emphasizes the need for applications that politically empower users to be developed using a fully open-source model and for distribution through censorship resistant means, like BitTorrent and F-Droid. F-Droid is an alternative to Google Play that offers users free and open-source software for the Android operating system.
