Samsung has announced the expansion of the Samsung Pay ecosystem through enhanced collaboration with card and bank organizations. Accordingly, in addition to domestic ATM cards of Vietcombank, Vietinbank, BIDV, Sacombank, Shinhan Bank, ABBank, international cards Visa and Mastercard of three banks Vietinbank, Citibank and Shinhan Bank, users of Samsung Pay can now Transaction with domestic ATM card of other banks such as Agribank, Techcombank, TPBank, SeABank, Woori Vietnam, Visa and MasterCard of Sacombank, TP Bank, Maritime Bank, Saigon Bank (SCB) and FE Bank CrediT is issued at any card accepting institution in Vietnam.
So far, up to 15 banks and 3 card switching organizations are participating in the Samsung Pay mobile payment network, accounting for 75% of the domestic payment card market. For Shinhan Bank ATM card holders, users can withdraw money with Samsung Pay at an ATM without a card.
On this occasion, Samsung has announced the use of Samsung Pay with intelligent watches Gear S3. This feature allows users to connect Samsung mobile phones with the intelligent S3, then pay with Samsung Pay easily. Not only on the Samsung S3, Samsung said it will also launch Samsung Pay payments on other products in its ecosystem.
Launched in September of this year, Samsung Pay is a payment application on Samsung mobile devices, operating on the NAPAS, Visa or Mastercard digital payment infrastructure. After six months of operation, Samsung Pay has recorded nearly 400,000 registered users and 500,000 successful transactions with a total value of 350 billion.
